Residential Planning Permission
You will probably need planning if you are looking to do the following:
- Build a new building
- Make a change to your building i.e build and extension
- Change the current use of a building
If you project does need planning permisson it is advised not to carry out any works without it, you can be served with an 'enforcement notice' ordering you to undo all the changes that you have made.
Some building projects do not need planning permission, this is known as 'permitted development' this can be applied to warehouses, some outdoor signs, and demolition projects, however limits and conditions apply to all so make sure you check before going ahead.
