The project consisted of an existing pub, change of use application planning application to restaurant and an extension to the rear of the public house.

Externally we built pod structures around a central bar, the pods comply with the smoke free legislation and planning laws for shisha smoking along with the majority air rule for environmental health.

Is Shisha covered by the smokefree legislation? Yes. The Smokefree (Premises & Enforcement) Regulations 2007 prohibit the use of shisha pipes in all enclosed public places and workplaces. The law prohibits the smoking of tobacco and anything that contains tobacco and any other substance. Therefore it applies to all manufactured cigarettes, hand- rolled cigarettes, cigars, herbal cigarettes and pipes, including hookah water pipes, whether or not the particular product being smoked is tobacco or not. Anything that can be smoked is prohibited by this legislation, not just tobacco.
